WINTER FAMILY PROGRAM
Veterans gain confidence through four full days of private ski and snowboard lessons with PSIA-AASI certified instructors. Family members enjoy group ski and snowboard lessons. All participants engage in group meals and evening adventure activities. This program supports family cohesion while promoting the well-being of individual family members in their collective journey through the difficulties of adjusting to life after a severe military service injury.

WINTER MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE
Wounded veterans benefit from four days of private adaptive ski and snowboard lessons with PSIA-AASI certified instructors. Guests benefit from group lessons with PSIA-AASI instructors. This program builds confidence and independence in wounded Veterans. When participants reach the top of the mountain, it is symbolic of their ability to accomplish anything, despite a severe injury.

Summer Family Program
Wounded veterans and their families build confidence and independence through participation in therapeutic outdoor sports, including rock climbing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, zip-lining, mountain biking, and fly-fishing. Through group meals and evening activities, participants have the opportunity to reconnect with their families and to build relationships with peers experiencing similar challenges in the transition to civilian life after a military service injury.

BLACK MOUNTAIN RANCH (1)
Vail Veterans Program provides alumni with opportunities to stay engaged and return to Vail to continue their healing journey and reconnect with one another. Together with our partners, Black Mountain Dude Ranch in McCoy, Colorado, we host individual alumni families up to three times per year, for a week of authentic western fun, relaxation, and time together for healing in a safe and comfortable environment.

Golf in the Rockies
Wounded Veterans benefit from five days of an unforgettable golf experience. Participants play several championship golf courses, attend golf clinics provided by PGA teaching professionals, and connect over group meals and evening activities. This program encourages participants to bond with one another over a shared passion, allowing them to depart the Vail Valley with lifelong friendships and a newly developed community of mutual support.

Military Caregiver Retreat
At the Military Caregiver Retreat, caregivers of wounded veterans connect with others experiencing similar challenges, gain sustainable tools to incorporate into their daily lives, and relax and rejuvenate in a safe and comfortable environment. This program focuses on health and wellness through offering therapeutic and educational activities including yoga, meditation, empowerment training, outdoor adventures, and group meals.

Military Caregiver Reunion
This program is a follow-up to the Military Caregiver Retreat. Participants return to Vail to take part in a continuation of Resilience Training, with a deeper focus on the different forms of stress and emotional, physical, mental and spiritual energy. Caregivers learn new rituals to lead a healthier lifestyle and approach stress management in a proactive way. They also get to relax in the mountains, focus on self-care and have time together to develop a strong community of mutual support.

VETERANS PATH TO SUCCESS
Veterans Path to Success will take place in Vail, CO and offers our alumni a three-day training program focusing on performance psychology, exercise physiology, and nutrition. Participants learn how to expand their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy in order to sustain increased engagement, performance, and resiliency. The training program assists wounded veterans in acknowledging their “old” story, while helping them to identify their “new” story for future success.

OUR MISSION CONTINUES GRANT AWARD PROGRAM
OUR MISSION CONTINUES is a grant award program directly supporting our alumni and their families in times of great need. Through this program, we offer fiscal support in the following categories: Emergency Financial Assistance, Mental Health Support, Health & Wellness, Military Caregiver Support, Educational Opportunities, Pay it Forward, and Family Experiences. ALUMNI PROGRAMMING
Vail Veterans Program provides periodic virtual programming for our alumni veterans and their families. We partner with professionals in nutrition, mental health, and financial services, as well as fitness instructors, chefs and meditation gurus, to share resources and learning to help improve lives.
